Course Overview

Digital and IT transformation demand that enterprises modernise their computing infrastructure to achieve unprecedented levels of performance, flexibility, scale, and intelligence. Gone are the days when applications and infrastructure were located only at the data centre. Today’s digital demands require the ability to run across multiple private and public cloud domains, offering users secure and instantaneous access.

The main difference between the public cloud and a data centre is where the data is stored. In a data centre, data is most often stored on the premises of your organisation. Some data centres may be in locations not owned by your organisation—in this case, your data centre is colocated but not in the cloud. The cloud is completely off-premises, and your data is accessible from anywhere via the internet.
