The Network Engineer course equips students to be job market-ready after completing the course. It is structured to align with the technical skills and knowledge required for entry-level roles in this field.
The first year foundational Network Engineer course provides students the opportunity to gain practical knowledge to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot computer networks. Students will start the course with a foundational understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This is followed by CompTIA IT fundamentals (CompTIA ITF+), which introduces the student to basic IT knowledge and skills. The CompTIA Network+ is a global certification that validates the baseline skills necessary to design, implement and support functional networks.
The Prince2 Agile certification demonstrates that students have foundational level skills and knowledge in project management principles and practices including project governance, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
The Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) will develop a student’s skills to install operate, configure, and verify networks built on Cisco technology, and also provides a foundation in network programmability, automation, and software-defined networking.
The Microsoft AZ-900 course offers students foundational knowledge of cloud computing concepts and services and how these are delivered by Microsoft Azure.
The EC-Council Network Defence Essentials course provides students with a foundational level of knowledge in concepts of security controls relating to, among others, • wireless, IoT, and cloud networks.
The course is rounded off by ensuring that students are prepared to enter the workplace with preparation of CV (curriculum vitae) writing skills and preparing them to confidently partake in the interview process as an interviewee.
