Course Overview

The Network Automation course equips students to be job market-ready after completing the course. It is structured to align with the technical skills and knowledge required for entry-level roles in this field.

The first year foundational Network Automation course provides students the opportunity to gain the practical knowledge to automate the configuration, management, and monitoring of network devices using software development tools such as Python and Ansible.

Students will start the course with a foundational understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This is followed by CompTIA IT fundamentals (CompTIA ITF +), which introduces the student to basic IT knowledge and skills.

The Prince2 Agile certification demonstrates that students have foundational level skills and knowledge in project management principles and practices including project governance, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.

The Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) will develop a student’s skills to install operate, configure, and verify networks built on Cisco technology, and also provides a foundation in network programmability, automation, and software-defined networking.

DevOps and DevSecOps courses provide students with a fundamental understanding of the DevOps methodology that combines software development (Dev) and IT

operations (Ops) to create secure software applications.

The course is rounded off by ensuring that students are prepared to enter the workplace with preparation of CV (curriculum vitae) writing skills and preparing them to confidently partake in the interview process as an interviewee.

The course is also accredited by a professional body, and the student, after successful completion, will be a registered professional.
